Required Skills:

Art Lead, Avatars and Economy Responsibilities:

  1. Realize and evolve artistic direction, vision and high production standard in the creation of products within the team in direct collaboration with creative, technical, and product leaders

  2. Devise and construct technical solutions with 3D Artists,Technical Artist, and Engineers to advance the caliber of Avatars Art

  3. Communicate art direction goals and technical frameworks at an an executive level to cross functional product and technical partners

  4. Manage expectations for key stakeholders regarding the execution of quality VR experiences and content. Will need to spend a significant amount of time collaborating with XFN partners, stakeholders and on communication channels

  5. Regularly meet with art / tech art leads to define art quality standards, direct, and modify production artwork

  6. Coordinate creative and performance tradeoffs to deliver performant experiences at necessary quality levels

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Experience to clearly articulate visual vision and align team of multidisciplinary contributors including technical artists, 3D artists, etc., to arrive at the desired visual goal

  2. Experience to weather change, be flexible with new information or goals and set a positive example through tough challenges

  3. Interest to drive varied art styles, from realistic to stylized, to bring visual quality within the technical or performance guidelines

  4. Proven knowledge of art and visual design principles and real-time techniques relating to character pipelines

  5. Proven organizational skills with the experience to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines and expectations

  6. Technical understanding of standard game engines such as Unity or Unreal

  7. Proficient in industry standard art tools such as Photoshop, Maya, Zbrush, Houdini or similar

  8. Experience collaborating closely on large scale project strategy with other disciplines

  9. Portfolio demonstrating a keen interest in games and/or VR

  10. 5+ years industry experience in games or other 3D interactive media

  11. 5+ years experience as a lead in charge of significant aspects of visual development

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience scaling asset development through OpenUsd composition a plus

  2. Experience developing modular asset creation pipelines is a plus

  3. VR development experience is a plus

Public Compensation:

$149,000/year to $205,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
