We’d love for you to add your own experience to the Mount Juliet Estates ever evolving story.Mount Juliet Estate, a Marriott Autograph Collection Property have a fantastic vacancy for an Assistant Director of Sales to our team.Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Assist with the development, and proactively implement the annual MICE sales plan for the hotel
  • Manage own portfolio of existing and new local and national accounts in MICE market
  • Soliciting new business in the domestic MICE market from corporates, charities, associations, institutions including national conferences, meetings and events and award ceremonies
  • Identify and develop new business in the corporate groups segment targeting domestic clients
  • Participating and supporting hotel Sales teams with customer visits, site inspections and large-scale events
  • Oversee contract negotiations and ensure all event details meet client expectations and hotel standards
  • Create Sales forecasts and actively work towards reaching then in line with hotel’s budget
  • Support the Sales team providing guidance and training to achieve departmental goals
  • Participate in weekly executive meetings to align sales strategies
  • To maintain departmental brand standards.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies accordingly
  • Work closely with the Revenue Management team to optimize room occupancy and average daily rates
  • Analyse sales performance and provide insights into revenue forecasting and budget planning
  • Utilize CRM systems to maintain accurate records of sales activities and client information.
  • Work closely with the various departments within the hotel to ensure seamless guest experience
  • Represent the brand while attending networking & industry events to build strong connections with potential clients
  • Attend training courses/seminars as required
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in line with the company General Data Protection Regulation Policy and Confidentiality Agreement

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Sales & Negotiation: Strong ability to drive sales strategies, negotiate contracts, and close high-value deals.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Proficient in leading and motivating sales teams to achieve targets and deliver exceptional results.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Skilled in building and maintaining long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Communication and Presentation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of delivering compelling presentations and reports

Requirements for the role:

  • Proven experience in a high-paced sales environment, ideally within luxury hospitality.
  • At least 2 years proactive hotel sales experience, hotel proactive MICE Sales experience is preferred
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and ready to go the extra mile.
  • A strong track record of driving revenue and achieving targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to meet deadlines
  • Have the ability to articulate and present ideas effectively.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and business priorities.
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and ready to go the extra mile.
