Overview

  • A vibrant, passionate and driven candidate who will support the Store Manager to maximise all sales and profit opportunities for the Store, leading and inspiring the team to deliver consistently excellent levels of service & standards.
  • To ensure the Store sales performance is maximised to its full potential and delivered above agreed Targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • To ensure Store costs are managed within agreed budget levels and that every opportunity is sought to maximise Store profitability
  • To recruit, train, develop & retain Brand Ambassadors for the business
  • To consistently demonstrate our Core Values and ensure by example that the sales team understand how our Core Values & Brand Statement are translated into actions and behaviours.

Responsibilities

Delivering Results and Compliance

  • To deputise for the Store Manager in their absence ensuring that all standards and KPI levels are maintained
  • To drive and monitor performance for the Store and agree/take appropriate action where necessary to ensure all KPI targets are met, including Sales, Payroll, Conversion, Multichannel, Stock Loss, Odds and Service
  • To ensure your Store is compliant with all company Policies & Procedures (including Health & Safety, Till Management, Security, Stock Management, WoW, Human Resources and Payroll)
  • To regularly review all areas of cost control (Payroll, FTE, Housekeeping, Stock Loss & Self-assessed Audit) highlighting any areas where savings can be made and profit maximised to the Store Manager
  • To maintain optimum stock levels at all times through effective communication with the Store Manager & application of the Stock Management procedure

Service and Sales Presentation

· To ensure that your team are regularly trained utilising all company Learning and Development tools

· To ensure your team deliver excellent service and represent the brand by maintaining a high standard of personal presentation and professional behaviour

· To ensure that your team consistently demonstrate Delivering the Dune Experience and the Core Values

· To ensure that during the Sales and After-sales process, your Store strives to go Above & Beyond to exceed customer expectations and deal with any complaints efficiently in line with company policy

· To ensure that company Visual Merchandising standards & WoW guidelines are implemented throughout the Store

Teamwork and Leadership

  • To manage the continuous development of self and team
  • To create Team Spirit within the Store ensuring the sales teams are supportive of each other and work well together
  • To ensure alongside the Store Manager that vacancies are filled within a reasonable timescale using the company selection process

Communication

· To maintain good staff relations and morale through effective communication and correct application of all Policies & Procedures

  • To plan work rotas alongside Store Manager and in their absence. Maximising the use of available hours, thereby maintaining the highest standard of customer service to meet the needs of the business
  • To regularly review the people metrics with your Store Manager, including FTE, Payroll Cost, Labour Turnover & Absence ensuring these are managed within accepted tolerances and where necessary agree appropriate actions with your Store Manager
  • To monitor competitor activity within your location and liaise with your Store Manager to make recommendations and agree appropriate action
  • To build good working relationships with the other members of management in the business and Central Support Office and ensure all working relationships are effective
  • Communicate upwards to Area Manager in Store Managers absence
  • To complete any other duties as reasonably requested by the company to ensure the continuous development of the business

Qualifications

  • Previous Retail Managerial experience
  • A drive and passion to ensure Dune is the leading affordable luxury brand in footwear and accessories in Ireland and globally.
  • Genuine interest in people – both as customers and as colleagues
  • Driven by sales and performance with a competitive spirit to achieve KPI’s.
  • Experience of coaching and developing teams
  • Planning and time management skills to drive daily operations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Positive attitude and an ability to enjoy a fast-paced environment
