About the role: 

In order to efficiently scale and continue to delight customers, Gartner is investing in the ‘Global Expert Lab’ in India. Analysts on this exciting team will be aligned with Gartner’s most visionary experts to directly help clients by writing research and delivering compelling interactions, thus becoming industry experts. As an Associate Principal Research Analyst aligned with the telecom team, you will deliver advice and thought leadership in the subject through published research, conversations with clients (Inquiry), teleconferences, and client meetings.

What you’ll do: 

As a Gartner analyst, you will meet with clients on the phone, in a videoconference, or face-to-face. In every client interaction, you will help clients solve difficult puzzles that lead to better performance. To support these conversations, your own and the team’s advice is based on thought leading market research and best practices for Gartner clients to download and apply. You will complete the following:

  • Conduct research and analysis on telecom trends targeting client’s key initiatives.
  • Write high-quality, clear, actionable, advisory research documents.
  • Respond to client questions, create materials for and deliver to clients in person, via teleconference, video conference or webinar and event presentations
  • Remain ahead of the curve on developments and issues within these specified areas as well as applicable adjacent areas.

What you’ll need:

  • Graduate or Graduate + MBA from leading schools
  • Overall 3-7 years of experience. And at least 3+ years’ experience working with enterprise communications in a technology, marketing, or sales-focused role.
  • Comfortable working with quantitative models for forecasting and market share analysis
  • Excellent knowledge in the communication related technologies such as 5G, SD-WAN, SASE, CPaaS, AI, data analytics, edge computing.
  • Ambitious and eager to learn about new technologies both inside and outside their field of expertise and willing to keep their finger on the pulse of the changing telecom landscape.
