Job descriptionYou will be part of a team dealing with several chemical legislations (Biocidal Products Regulation, Plant Protection Products Regulation, REACH, etc.) and with expertise in several domains (chemistry, toxicology, environmental fate, ecotoxicology, etc.). In your role as efficacy expert, you will:Analyse and summarise efficacy studies in view of regulatory submissions for biocidal active substances and products in the EUProvide specialist advice on efficacy requirements for biocides to clients and colleaguesAssist with the preparation of regulatory dossiers for biocidesLiaise with test facilities and monitoring efficacy studiesAddress questions from regulatory authoritiesRemain constantly aware of new guidance and developments in the field of efficacy for biocidesYour Profile:Minimum qualifications for this position include:A relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, Bioscience engineering, …)Excellent technical knowledge of microbiology (e.g. taxonomic identification, biological properties, induction of resistance, …) and/or entomologyAbility to evaluate scientific literature and critically interpret and summarize dataAbility to communicate and liaise effectively with colleagues, clients and authoritiesAdaptability and analytical problem-solving skillsEager to learn about chemical regulatory frameworks, such as the Biocidal Products RegulationFluent in EnglishFirst experiences with one or more of the following points are considered beneficial:Hands-on experience with efficacy testing for disinfectants, preservatives, insecticides or repellentsPractical knowledge of efficacy testing standards e.g. EN, OECD, IBRGReporting of efficacy and resistance data for biocidesMonitoring efficacy studiesKnowledge of the requirements and procedures outlined in the Biocidal Products RegulationExperience with microbials in fertilisers, biostimulants and/or crop protection productsA PhD in a relevant fieldA good command of other European languages (Dutch, French, …)What do we offer:A challenging role in a growing company where you can apply and further develop skills.A participative company culture, where you can take initiative, share your ideas and where your opinion counts.A nice bunch of colleagues, always ready to help you and in for some fun.
