Job Description & Summary The banking environment we operate in is governed by continually evolving regulation, accounting rules and legislation. As a Manager within our Credit Risk Group, you’ll be taking on an important leadership role in the management of the practice. You will have deep and varied experience in developing and strengthening credit risk frameworks and models. You will apply your previous experience in the financial services industry to generate value adding insights to our clients and become a trusted advisor.

You will be a highly motivated professional who can apply your knowledge and experience to new and developing situations, provide innovative solutions and practical insights. You will have experience leading projects and developing junior staff, including technical training and coaching. You will need to be adaptive and proactive in keeping up-to-date with emerging best practices while also contributing to thought leadership. You will have strong interpersonal skills and be interested in developing new and existing client relationships.

The Role:

Manage and deliver a wide range of both core credit risk assignments as well as multidisciplinary assignments in wider fields

Act as clients’ main point of day-to-day contact on engagements and liaise with Partner and Director

Lead and manage staff effectively in order to ensure the highest quality of and timely delivery of engagements

Lead or contribute to the development of new consulting opportunities, including opportunities to partner with other professionals in the firm in the areas of Corporate Finance, Banking and Enterprise Risk Management

Be a committed team leader and take an active role in supporting the strategic management and running of the practice

Be an innovative thinker who contributes to thought leadership

Be willing to travel to support engagements within our European network on occasion

Develop and expand our credit risk service offering

Deliver and communicate the outcome of our work in a clear and concise way, to technical and non technical audiences

Requirements:

Strong and varied experience in credit risk management from either a consultancy or industry background

A strong background in Retail or Corporate Credit Risk Modelling (Regulatory Capital Models, IFRS9 ECL models or similar)

Strong background in management of credit risk model lifecycle including; development, testing, validation, implementation, maintenance & model risk frameworks

Educated to at least first degree level and/ or with a recognised qualification in relation to Risk management or Models along with extensive technical knowledge of models and methodologies gained in financial services

Technical knowledge and experience of regulatory requirements.

Proven track record on the utilisation of models to resolve real life business problems

Experience in leading complex projects and developing teams

Ability to deliver and achieve results within demanding timescales.

Strong presentation, communication and report writing skills: Proficient use of Word/Excel/PowerPoint and a willingness to share learning and develop insights.
