AVP / VP, Team Lead, Business Finance (Technology), Group Finance – (WD74994)

Business Function:

Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.

The Technology Finance Team provides Management Information System (MIS) reporting and support for Group Technology stakeholders at DBS. Our key responsibilities include financial performance analysis, management reporting, and strategic planning support. We work closely with stakeholders to provide data-driven insights for decision-making.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Process and analyse large financial datasets, structuring information according to the Technology Build/Operate/Platform reporting framework.
• Support monthly performance reviews and prepare reporting packages for Group Technology.
• Support analysis and commentaries on variances, including monthly flash reporting, actual vs Budget / Forecast analysis by Platforms
• Support the Budget and Forecast process end-to-end.
• Support preparation of presentation for Business reviews with senior management, Investors Day
• Maintain and update historical data for Group Tech costs in alignment with the latest organizational structure.

Risk and Control:

• GLAO Certification for Technology Finance balance sheet. Provide supporting documentation and manage monthly certification and validation.
• Preparation and validation of quarterly attestation for CIO/CFO.
• Oversee the RCSA (Risk Control Self Assessment) process for the Tech Finance team.
• Track and support the reduction of manual journal entries (MJE) as required by Group Finance.

Direct Billing:

• Manage Direct Billing planning and reporting, coordination with Regional and Country Planners and Platform Controllers

Support ad-hoc requests and analysis as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 8-10 years of relevant experience
• Good grasp of banking operations structure, with understanding/prior experience in financial planning & analysis preferred.
• Strong ability to work with large datasets/relational databases and granular data flows/processes.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented with a strong aptitude for numbers.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, set priorities, and manage time/work-life balance to meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills; a collaborative team player.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Hyperion Essbase. Experience with Tableau, Power BI, and SQL macros is a plus.
