Our friendly, supportive culture will help you be the best you can be – now and in the future.About the roleYou will support in the production of Prudential assessments and documents for the Society. This includes the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and Pillar 3 disclosures.You will also perform monthly/quarterly capital reporting, will analyse data to provide insights to support competitive advantage and will engage with stakeholders across our finance, risk and treasury teams.This role will give you the ability to build strong foundations for you career and will give you exposure to build niche skills in Capital as well as build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.You will:

  • Prepare monthly capital reporting (actual vs forecast);
  • Prepare of regulatory COREP returns;
  • Produce the Society’s Trigger Framework to assess and monitor key risks
  • Update existing processes to reflect new/changed data sources and new regulations.
  • Support in the production of regulatory documents owned by the Balance Sheet Management team including Pillar 3 and ICAAP.
  • Liaise with specialist teams across the Society
  • Analyse risks faced by the Society, including documentation in an accessible format;
  • Interpretation of regulatory requirements to ensure the documents are compliant; and
  • Perform analysis of upcoming regulatory changes.

What will you bring to the role?We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Part qualified with a relevant professional qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AMCT;
  • Ability to manage and analyse large sets of financial data with strong attention to detail;
  • Self-motivator with good planning and organisational skills;
  • Good communication skills;
  • A willingness to learn the application and development of balance sheet risk management.

Desirable:

  • Experience in financial services;
  • Experience / understanding of regulations impacting the UK Building Society sector;
  • Experience / knowledge of capital / liquidity / market risk management within a financial services institution; and
  • Experience / knowledge of financial planning.
