FRS Recruitment are now inviting applications for the role of ‘Breed Secretary’ to an Irish Cattle Breed Society within the Midlands.
This is a full time permanent, office based, position which will see successful candidates come with previous relevant experience gained through the Agricultural or pedigree cattle breeding industry.Through a high standard of professionalism, the Breed Secretary; reporting into the Council, will be responsible for the following;

• Day-to-day management of the Society and its office
• Management of the Society herdbook
• Implement the Society’s Breeding Programme and Rules
• Point of contact to breeders’ queries
• Compile & distribute the Breed Journal
• Liaising with industry partners on behalf of the Society
• Co-ordinating & promoting schemes and programmes
• Oversee and develop marketing campaigns through Society website and social media platforms
• Organise and attend relevant shows, sales & meetings while conducting follow up reports and minutes.

Candidate Profile:

• Degree in Agriculture or strong relevant experience is a prerequisite for this role
• Strong understanding of Pedigree Cattle Breeding, the agricultural sector, Genetics and the ICBF Eurostar Indexes
