Business Analyst in Columbus, Ohio

Description:

This Business Analyst will provide business and technical analysis for large to enterprise system changes. Coordinate the implementation of business initiatives and collection of business needs into detailed solution requirements that can be used by Business, Information Technology, Quality Assurance, and Training partners to validate and communicate the project deliverables. The Focus will be on Project work in support of Commercial Lines book of business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Skilled at identifying direct and indirect stakeholders who can contribute to requirements documentation. Expert at collecting the appropriate amount of information for large to enterprise size projects utilizing various elicitation techniques and define solutions that meet the business needs.

2. Facilitate the process to elicit and develop solution requirements.

3. Effectively manage the prioritization of requirements with the business sponsors by evaluating the business value, cost and time to deliver. Manage and document solution requirements in a clear, defined format.

4. Expert at various solution requirements techniques and formats. Determines the best approach to solution requirements development and develops solution requirements in the form of use cases, process diagrams and user interface wireframes.

5. Clearly identify relationships among requirements. Skilled at identifying assumptions and constraints related to stakeholder needs and managing those through the project lifecycle.

6. Skilled at assessing proposed solutions and identifying advantages, disadvantages, gaps and possible workarounds or alternatives for business needs.

7. Coordinate with stakeholders and project team for requirements review and validation to ensure the solutions meet the business needs. Able to understanding the business goals, assessing change, identifying impacts of the change and obtaining the necessary approvals on solution requirements and scope.

8. Able to Collaborate and partner with the Business, Information Technology and Quality Assurance partners.

9. Develop and communicate new and revised system changes and procedures to the impacted departments. Ensure that knowledge transfer is accomplished prior to the production release date.

10. Capable of identifying areas of improvement for the business or project delivery by understanding business structure, strategy, organizational culture and impact on work efforts. Understands business architecture to identify gaps, problems and limitations of existing solutions. Capable of facilitating idea generation and new concepts for business initiatives.

11. Capable of identifying measurements of business analysis work and providing the necessary reports.

12. Maintain and communicate awareness of current business analysis, process management techniques, future development, industry trends and best practices. Identify areas to improve operational, process and project delivery capabilities.

13. Lead and manage communication, team engagement, and relationship management among multiple teams working together for project delivery.
