Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Software Application Business Analyst who will work closely with business users, external software vendors, and customers to gather and refine business requirements, and produce comprehensive business requirements for the external software engineering vendor to develop. This role requires strong collaboration and persuasion skills, as well as a solid technical aptitude to facilitate UAT testing and validate functionality early in the software development process. Will also be responsible for gathering business requirements for the development of B2B Software Integrations, along with reporting and analysis.
Use business knowledge and analytical abilities to evaluate existing processes, provide recommendations on operational optimization and quality improvement initiatives while leading the implementation of B2B software solutions and strategies. Will serve as a liaison between system users and information technology staff, external software vendors, and service providers.
In addition to requirements gathering, will also assist in Project Management, Project Budgeting and Timelines, Code Design process, UAT, BI/Reporting, Database and Data Logic, API integrations with customers and vendors, and resource management.
The Business Analyst must be able and willing to also take on Project Management responsibilities as needed, so previous experience as a Project Manager would be highly preffered.
Primary Responsibilities:

Collaborate with internal business stakeholders and customers to gather and document business requirements by analyzing and improving existing business processes and systems.

Conduct regular meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.

Refine and translate business requirements into detailed software requirements for the engineering team.

Must be able to produce written specifications, diagrams and visual aids.

Liaise with external application development firms, developers, and testers to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.

Update requirements / specification documents as needed to maintain currency.

Validate software deliverables early during the SDLC to ensure business functional expectations are met.

Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), assisting business users as needed to ensure they have independently verified deliverables before production release.
Requirements:
-
7-10 years of experience Software Application Business Analyst.

Extensive experience developing comprehensive requirements documents and process flows, define project scope and objectives, coordinate / lead system and solution testing with business stakeholders and Quality Assurance team, conduct and document user acceptance testing, and identify and mitigate risks / issues to deliver the project scope.

Demonstrated experience in business requirements analysis and documentation, data mapping and test planning, process mapping.

Knowledge of API, data structures, Microsoft SQL, and reporting.

Previous experience as a Technical Project Manager (highly preferred).

Demonstrates strong customer service focus, analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.

Solid technical background with the ability to provide clear and concise direction to the team.

BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent proven experience
