Job Description: Business Analyst

Location: Huntsville, AL or Chantilly, VA

Position Type: Full-Time

Security Clearance: Top Secret with SCI Eligibility

Responsibilities:

• Lead the collection, capture, and management of mission user needs from prioritization through concept development and user story writing to support development and deployment.

• Facilitate the gathering of business-focused requirements to support a product team and product owner in defining the backlog, ensuring the user’s perspective is considered.

• Focus on requirements gathering to improve usability, user experience, and drive user adoption and engagement.

• Identify core business needs, decompose and document in concepts of operation, story maps, briefings, and user stories.

• Document business rules and construct workflow diagrams as needed.

• Provide consultation on complex projects, considering the business implications of applying technology to the current and future business environment.

• Comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents.

• Solve problems involving several options in situations.

  Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in business analysis or a related field.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

• Top Secret security clearance with SCI (Sensitive Compartmented Information) eligibility.

  Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency in gathering and documenting business requirements.

• Experience in improving usability and user experience.

• Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Familiarity with constructing workflow diagrams and story maps.

• Ability to provide consultation on complex projects.
