Your opportunity
Reporting to the Technology Programme Manager, this role will be responsible for the delivery of high-profile programmes on behalf of the Technology Department at JHI. The nature of these Projects and Programmes will vary over time and is likely to be diverse reflecting current business priorities.
Lead analysis work on the design and implementation of the best technology solutions to meet identified business requirements
Complete analysis as required to identify both functional and data gaps between the services to be delivered and the business requirements.
Help to develop and deliver solutions to meet those delivery gaps
Translate the business requirements from the operational and investment teams into technology delivery packages including documentation of technical and non-functional requirements
Implement these needs within the technical/systems ecosystem at JHI in a forward-thinking manner that balances near term concerns / tactical solutions with the longer term / strategic direction
Produce process flow diagrams and documentation for the specified deliverables
Always work with the big picture in mind. Liaise with wider technology teams to coordinate inter dependencies and resolve issues
Work constructively and transparently, as possible, with third party service providers
Liaise with the technology workstream leads to help manage delivery milestones and the overall timelines. Contribute to the maintenance of risk/issue logs, meeting minutes, meeting schedules, project summaries and updates
Produce quality test strategies and plans. Manage and support all aspects of system and user acceptance testing. Support end to end testing for applicable changes
Carry out other duties as assigned

Must have skills
Robust and proven track record as a business analyst within the Asset Management industry
Good data knowledge within the Global Asset Management sector
Previous experience of working on large scale transformation programs
Experience and ability to analyse high-level business requirements and translate these into overall detailed system-level designs to be used for architectural design, cost / benefit analysis, and solution development
Experience writing acceptance criteria / test cases, implementation, capturing sign offs and presenting demos to business
Strong Microsoft Skills, including PowerPoint & Excel; understand and document Process Maps using tools such as Visio.
A good knowledge of financial products used in Asset Management including, Equities, Cash, Fixed Income and complex Swap instruments.
Proficiency in SQL to analyse data and investigate stored procedures.
