Position Summary
The Application Business Analyst is responsible for all functional aspects of various sales-related applications (CPQ: Configure, Price, Quote; Pricing, and CRM), Finance, and reports supporting business across Europe and North America.
As a cross-functional IT and Business matter expert, this role is crucial, working with the IT team to document existing functionalities (business logic) and requirements, resolve issues, and implement solutions for business needs. The candidate will be based in Mexico and report directly to the Center of Excellence (CoE) in Greece and indirectly to the CCT HQ in Irvine, California. Due to the scope of the businesses involved, the position requires working hours that support the North American time zone (the workday ends at 1:00 pm USA Pacific Time Zone jobsnear.org 8 pm Eastern European Time Zone).
The Application Business Analyst collaborates with business stakeholders in Sales, Finance, and front-end teams globally to understand key business objectives and goals, analyze and prioritize process and systems opportunities, and assist businesses with reports and/or data integrity issues. In addition to possessing solid skills in MS SQL and MS Excel, the candidate should have excellent communication skills and the ability to grasp overall end-to-end business processes quickly.
This position involves managing end-user relationships, responding to critical and routine application support requests (via the First Line Support Global IT ticketing system and emails), triage dealing with business logic and non-development needs (it is not a coder), and liaising with developers for development and support.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide webmaster duties and support: Responsibilities will include working with internal and external users to respond to questions, emails, and requests and performing administrative tasks related to the web application.
Translate user needs and business requirements by writing documentation or editing functional specifications for current systems and reports, system changes, and/or system enhancements; present ideas/solutions focused and concisely.
Collaborate with business partners, BRMs (Business Relationship Managers), project managers, developers, technical resources (vendors), and application support team to write precise, complete, functional design specifications for reports, forms, workflows, interfaces, and data mapping.
Thoroughly investigate and compare existing applications to propose replacements or upgrades for various digital B2B, CRM, and Finance applications.
Lead the effort to reverse engineer the business logic and document the functionality/business rules.
Assess the existing report landscape and identify new opportunities to examine the data.
MISC – Additional tasks from business partners not part of the main applications or defined responsibilities.
Position Requirements
BS/BA degree in Information Systems or related field required or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Minimum of 5 years of MS SQL experience: Transact-SQL (T-SQL), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
Proven knowledge and experience in Business Analytic skills.
Experience with process mapping tools.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and design solutions for business processes and to document functional and technical specifications.
Excellent problem-solving, oral and written communication, and interpersonal relationship skills.
Strong business acumen, negotiating skills, and analytical thinking.
Must be a team player, tenacious and determined, able to organize diffused ideas, ownership, and have a positive outlook.
Travels 25%.
