As part of our Agribusiness team, you’ll help our customers leverage technology and data insights to connect upstream and downstream and optimize profitability, efficiency and insights. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Business Analyst to join our team. As an EDI Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing, designing, implementing, and maintaining electronic data interchange solutions for our organisation. The role will predominantly focus on gathering and analysing work group data, defining current processes and requirements, researching best practice and identifying and documenting process improvements and functional specifications.

Here’s how:

• Analyze and design EDI solutions to support business processes, ensuring seamless data integration between trading partners and internal systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document business requirements, translating them into technical specifications for EDI implementations.

• Be client facing, and monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions, resolving any data transmission issues and feeding back to the client.

• Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders on EDI processes and best practices, enhancing overall system efficiency and user competence.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop accurate project estimations, ensuring alignment on scope, effort, and timelines for delivery.

• Stay updated with industry standards and technological advancements in EDI, recommending improvements to optimize system performance and compliance.

• Create user stories that capture end-user requirements and business needs, ensuring clear communication and understanding among stakeholders

• Participate in and contribute to additional projects as assigned, providing analytical support and ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines

What you bring to this role:

• Proven work experience as an EDI/Supply Chain Business Analyst or similar role.

• Strong understanding of electronic data interchange concepts, standards (such as ANSI X12), protocols (such as AS2), file formats (such as XML/EDI), mapping techniques, encryption methods.

• Proven track record of gathering complex business requirements and translating them into user stories

• Broad understanding of software development methodologies, good understanding of SQL

• Strong facilitation skills, along with IT research, software analysis and design skills

• Broad technical understanding across various methodologies, platforms, tools and languages.

• Previous experience of working in an agile environment and using recognized development methodology; e.g., Agile, SCRUM, KANBAN.

• Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of advanced complexity

• Excellent problem solving experience involving leading teams in identifying, researching, and coordinating the resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot/diagnose complex project issues; prior success extracting/translating findings into alternatives/solutions, identifying risks/impacts and

schedule adjustments to facilitate management decision making.

• Excellent communication skills, strong presentation skills and ability to work effectively in a customer facing role.
