Business Analyst in REMOTE WORK, Virginia

Description

SAIC is currently seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Business Analyst to serve as the analyst on a software development team that designs, develops and maintains complex web-based applications in support of the Internal Revenue Service. Elicit, analyze and document complex software system requirements in a large scale enterprise.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct analysis of business processes using techniques such as BPM, use case modeling, current state analysis, gap analysis, benchmarking, best practices identification, etc.

• Interface with all areas of project including customer, architects, development team, operations, and other teams.

• Provide expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, regulations, and guidelines to assure compliance.

• Conduct client interviews and coordinate with business and technology teams to ascertain and document system requirements such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system controls.

• Perform cost benefit analysis

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or relevant discipline (4 years of equivalent experience)

• Ability to obtain and maintain a MBI clearance

• 5+ years’ of total experience as a business analyst

• Experience with formal system development methodologies including Agile

• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

• Experience with business process modeling

• Experience eliciting and documenting software requirements in the form of use cases and user stories

• Experience in business analysis activities including:

• Software requirements management and analysis

• Software requirements elicitation

• Software solutions analysis

• Software requirements planning

• Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired:

• Membership in International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) or related professional organization a plus

• Active IRS MBI Clearance is highly desirable

Target salary range: $80,001 – $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
