JOB TITLE: Business Analyst

LOCATION: Santiago, DR

MODALITY: On Site

SCHEDULE: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM M-F

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OR PURPOSE OF JOB:

Under general direction, this role devises or modifies systems processes and/or procedures to solve moderate to complex business problems. Incumbents have a basic understanding of the business or function for which the end product is designed, and are competent to complete the analysis for all types of application projects. Incumbents may be expected to perform as a project manager for small to medium sized projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Devise or modify business procedures and processes to solve complex problems and achieve desired results

• Define business process and systems requirements

• Complete current state assessment, evaluate improvement opportunities and formulate future state approach

• Convert business problems to logical flow diagrams for identifying improvement opportunities, and prepare detailed documentation from which project/product design will be developed;

• Consult on design solutions and functionality decisions

• Aid in the development of user interfaces

Facilitate and execute test plans

• Outline thorough testing requirements of programs and business processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency during and after implementation

• Provide support for application implementations as needed, including potential on-call support outside of normal work hours

Perform other related responsibilities as assigned, to assist IT management on other activities as necessary

• Promote new tools and technology to improve business analysis and testing processes

• Remain knowledgeable of current and new technology related to all aspects of information processing by researching technical materials, attending seminars and training classes and consulting with personnel from other industries.

Required:

• BA/BS degree with an analytical discipline

• 2-5 years of directly related experience

• SQL Language Experience

• Excel Dashboard Design experience

• Knowledge of systems analysis and/or design

• Familiar with use case and storyboarding techniques

• Experience with root cause analysis, developing test cases and executing against them

• Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to read analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, and instructional manuals

• Ability to write reports and other varied business correspondence and present information effectively both written and oral

• Strong analytical ability to devise systems and/or process solutions to solve complex business problems

• Knowledge of project management techniques and ability to lead projects

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology

• Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team, and to work with confidential material and information

• General knowledge of business process or function

• Ability to identify and respond actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers and to support change within the organization

• Ability to demonstrate a commitment to Total Quality and the process of continuous improvement
