Your Role and Responsibilities
Sitting within a team of business analyst / product owner in Reserve Management department, you will be responsible for managing the trading system as well as applications and processes related to portfolio management and execution.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with portfolio managers to understand their business requirements, and translating these business requirements to technical requirements, and vice versa
Design, test and implement processes/tools/systems in partnership with in-house IT, risk, and finance teams as well as external software vendors and service providers to support the front-office investment workflow
Develop and write test plans for system, process and product upgrades, as well as participate in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Develop and maintain user guides and documentations relating to processes/tools/systems implemented for front-office investment workflow
Ensure front-office processes and procedures meet internal standards for data integrity, security and auditability
Monitor, analyse and troubleshoot front-office processes to ensure their smooth functioning. This includes liaising with the in-house IT department as well as external service provider in the troubleshooting and resolution of production issue
Manage project implementations with vendors and service providers, covering procurement and related administrative issues
Oversee change management to facilitate new product and/or system adoption, including possible re-engineering of workflow and processes.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Degree in business-related or IT-related fields
At least 3-10 years relevant working experience, including business analysis/product management of system used in similar functions, in asset management domain
Strong sense of ownership and growth mindset
Strong analytical skills and critical thinking with good problem-solving skills
Good understanding of user-centric principles and/or service design
Adept communicator (both written and verbal) with the ability to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders across all levels
Experience working in cross-functional groups, representing views of different stakeholders and influencing teams towards achieving shared goal
Ability to manage a number of projects at the same time, with varying technical requirements, level of stakeholder engagement and completion timeline
Ability to adapt to changing business requirements due to unforeseen restrictions / constraints in the existing system.
Experience in developing test plan and managing testing for project implementation / enhancements
Experience in developing and maintaining user guide and system documentations
Experience in managing project scheduling and timelines for prompt completion of work tasks
