Business Analyst in Vancouver, British Columbia

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Business Analyst to join a dynamic team within a large retail client. The Business Analyst will leverage advanced data analysis skills in Excel and SQL, and work extensively with the Snowflake database. This role involves handling large volumes of data, with a strong preference for candidates with retail and ESG experience. The analyst will be responsible for analyzing data across systems to uncover meaningful patterns and convert them into actionable insights. They will partner with various teams to research data collection methods and address data integrity issues. Additionally, the analyst will translate business issues into technical terms, acting as a liaison between business and technical teams. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, engineers, and project managers, is essential to produce optimal solutions. The role also includes reviewing user stories to ensure a quality user experience, well-defined acceptance criteria, and thorough test coverage. Coordination with multiple data source teams to publish and integrate data into the ESG data platform is also a key responsibility.

Skills and Requirements

• Advanced data analysis skills are mandatory in Excel /SQL – Experience working with large volume data; retail and ESG experience strongly desired.

• Experience translating business issues into technical terms and liaising between both business and technical teams.

• Experience creating and reviewing user stories to ensure a quality user experience, well-defined acceptance criteria, and thorough test coverage. – Experience working with the Snowflake database

• Experience working within retail, supply chain, manufacturing, is highly preffered.

• Knowledge of corporate ESG, specifcally within the Environment space. null
