What is the opportunity?This is an opportunity for a Business Analyst to work alongside a team of testing analysts, developers, business analysts and product specialists within the Life & Pensions market. The primary role of the Business Analyst is to understand the companies objectives and determine the technology resources they need to reach their strategic goals.In this role, you will:

  • Business & Technical Design, collaborate with product owners and leaders to drive product definition and help to deliver digital solutions in a Life and Pensions domain.
  • Confirm that technical and non-technical requirements are accurately implemented for our suite of Life/Pension products.
  • Leading workshops and requirement gathering leading to high quality business analysis and provide clear business requirement documentation.
  • Proactively question pre-conceived ideas on requirements to ensure all gaps are identified and the best possible solutions are recorded and engage with Head of Domain, Head of Business Design and/or functional leaders to detail business improvements and processes.
  • Excellent process mapping skills and experience in creating/documenting as-is and to-be business operating scenarios with end users.
  • Create Business Requirements Documents and Functional Specifications. Documents user stories, contributes to backlog refinement, daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
  • Liaise with Scrum Masters, POs and engineers to translate technical requirements into business solutions.
  • Undertake change management activities like change readiness, communication, training and support go live.
  • Provide support to UAT team by defining and carrying out tests to validate new processes.
  • Ensure Business readiness for deployment of the change – i.e. Training support, user config, migration support, incident management.

What will make you stand out?Candidates should be highly professional, self-motivated with good communication and problem-solving skills and should have the ability to determine cause and devise solutions independently. You will have experience working with Agile/Hybrid/Waterfall project delivery models, particularly within the financial services/Insurance & Life & Pensions industry!Significant experience and knowledge of supporting transformational change and a solid understanding of all aspects of systems implementation and software development processes.A consistent track record of strong presentation skills, ability to playback requirements to the business and lead demonstrations on recently delivered software enabling successful collaboration with key stakeholders; ability to translate client requirements into tangible requirements/ deliverables.

  • Experience working with technical and business teams to translate internal and external business needs to drive functional and technical requirements.
  • Practical Knowledge of data management and data integration (statistical methodologies)
  • Capacity to conduct data quality control linkage and validation.
  • User story mapping, customer journeys, Personas and voice of customer
