Our services range from a simple execution only online service to bespoke discretionary investment management including retirement planning.About this opportunity:In the Associate role you will support and ensure that Business Lines meet the maximum level of preparedness, conforming to RBC policy, regulatory compliance imperatives and industry standards for Incident Management, Crisis Management, Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Planning.A professional advisor to Group Heads and business line heads and supporting the BCM Champions with the identification of critical processes and associated dependencies, as well as to facilitate creation of the high-level recovery strategies and tactical plans. You will provide platform support and co-ordination to disruptive events and in tandem with business unit Executives and Senior Management, you will ensure operational risks relating to Business Continuity are identified and mitigated.Responsibilities Include:Support the activities of the Operational Resilience team and to champion the embedding of a resilient awareness culture throughout the businessSupport the departments and regional offices with running their annual scenario tests (table-top exercises)Maintenance of the RBC Brewin Dolphin emergency notification system, including testing, production of reports and ensuring all Vendor Management DDQs are managedAdministration of the Business Continuity Cycle, this includes the maintenance the BC document register, facilitation of inductions, any audit related inquiries and associated audit findings and tracking the resolutionAdministration of Business Continuity documentsIn case of incident or disruptive event, Secretary to the Incident Management Team, maintaining a working relationship/liaison with other Incident Management Team and provide supervision of triage activities, engage with BCM supporting teams, and act as a liaison between BU/FU affected and senior managementRaising and monitor events in Risk Management DatabaseSupport Operational Resilience GroupAssist in the successful completion of Operational Resilience scenario tests, including the design of the testing schedule and tests, including the completion of tests with SME’sComplete resource and process mapping in line with Operational Resilience requirements, documentation and working with SME’s to ensure the process mapping is in place and up to date.Skills/Experience:Certified Member of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI) certificationExperience in the Financial Services Sector, preferably within a resilience or business continuity focused teamEvidence of delivering to deadlinesStrong project transition skillsDetailed knowledge of current best practice in the business continuity industryHaving delivered a Training and Education Programme would be beneficialProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)General IT awarenessAbout youWe are looking for people with not only the right skills, but those who demonstrate our values in how they approach their work and colleaguesGenuine – Shows empathy and understanding for the needs of clients and colleagues.
