Your functionIn your role as Business Control and Reporting Officer, you are part of the Business Performance team. You are responsible for management accounting of our insurance operations companies, developing reports to the internal stakeholders and supporting/coordinating the reporting cycles with our businesses.Your responsibilities include mainly:
Supporting and coordinating the periodical reporting cycles (monthly/quarterly & outlook/forecast/budget), ensuring completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the reporting;
Maintaining and developing the Group Control framework with transversal analysis to support the internal management reporting processes (press releases, MYB tables, management reports, etc.) in line with the applicable accounting standards;
Participating in various transformation projects such as the roll out of Power BI for management reporting, replacement of Group applications for management accounting etc.
Follow-up the management reporting standards within the group, keeping the management accounting manual up to date and analyse and implement new standards across the Group with the Performance Managers
Propose and implement improvements to processes;
Ensure quality of data generated, transformed and/or reported during the processes for which you are responsible (in compliance with the Group’s Data Management Policy).
Your profile
You have and Academic degree in Economics, Finance or Business Administration and have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience;
You are a real professional, analytical and have a keen interest in a wide variety of finance topics. Experience in insurance / financial services and/or audit is a plus;
Hands-on experience with MS Office (Power Point, Excel) or any other performance analysis tool (eg Power BI) is a plus;
You have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and are eager to learn;
You are a team player, but you are able to work independently as well;
You are fluent (oral and written) in English, Dutch and/or French are a plus.
