We currently have a vacancy for a Business Intelligence Expert fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.Your tasks

• Implement business rules in the HR Business Intelligence Data Warehouse;
• Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure accurate and timely data integration from multiple sources;
• Create and maintain data marts and dimensional model, and the logic to keep these updated;
• Implement best practices to ensure the integrity of data with exception-handling routines;
• Development of custom applications, application components and database objects in support of information systems;
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of the data warehouse environment;
• Develop and maintain data models to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval;
• Actively contribute to all aspects of the data project lifecycle including request intake and acknowledgment, project estimation, time-tracking, and prioritization of tasks;
• Participation in data governance initiatives to uphold data quality standards;
• Participation in technical and business meetings with IT and business stakeholders to identify data needs, clarify requirements, and implement solutions.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 11 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Experience with Agile/Scrum;
• Experience with Data Warehouse using SAP BODS (SAP Business Objects Data Services, Repository Manager, ETL Mapping/Transformations/Job Scheduling, Process Optimization), and Oracle DB;
• Experience in data quality applied to Data Warehouse / Data Vault;
• Experience in preparing FSD/TSD (Functional/Technical Specification Document) documents from BRD (Business Requirement Document) / Customer Requirements;
• Experience in designing and modelling using tools like: PowerDesigner;
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud platform and related components
• Excellent knowledge of a version control system such as: Git;
• Excellent knowledge of Data Vault concepts;
• Good knowledge of cloud platforms such as: Microsoft Azure or AWS
• The following certifications are mandatory: Oracle database administration and Data-Warehouse using Oracle/SAP;
• The following certifications would be considered an asset: SAP S4HANA in Data warehouse context on premises/on cloud, Artificial Intelligence in the data management activities, Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer, Microsoft Azure Data Engineer and Data Vault;
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or JavaScript would be considered an asset;
• Knowledge of SQL Server on Azure, Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse would be considered an asset;
• Knowledge of other ETL / ELT tools would be considered an asset;
• Excellent command of the English language is mandatory, while knowledge of French C1 would be an advantage.
