Call Center Representative – Customer Service Background

GFL environmental is looking to add talented Call Center Representatives with customer service background for our growing team based out of Sault Ste. Marie, ON.

The representative will service customers and GFL locations for Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury, North Bay, Timmins.

When a resident calls with an issue regarding their recycling pick up, the call center would field the call and take down all the required information. They would then email the site with the issue/question. The site would investigate the issue and then get back to the call center with answer/solution. The call center would then reach out to the resident with the answer/solution.

Working days: Monday to Friday (in Sault Ste. Marie office)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service and professionalism to all customers via in person, telephone, email, or via the web.
  • Answer incoming and make outgoing customer telephone calls.
  • Receive and resolve, within established guidelines, customer questions and concerns.
  • Track customer information and concerns and enter data into database.
  • Download, distribute and answer all customer inquiries received via email.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and promote the GFL Environmental image by focusing on cooperation, employee partnership and positive telephone and email manners.
  • Conform in all respects with applicable laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One (1) to Two (2) years customer service call center experience.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, meet time deadlines and perform under pressure.
  • Possess good organizational skills and record keeping skills.
  • Possess ability to speak and communicate effectively with customers and employees both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.
