Job description

To support lead worker, engage in outreach activities to support Traveller Women to access and participate in appropriate, relevant activities and initiatives. To support lead worker creating and facilitate Traveller-only spaces identifying issues and the impact experienced by Traveller women i.e., Education training and employment etc. To support lead worker in Identify and develop appropriate responses to gaps in supports, skills and services to Traveller Women targeting older women within the community. To support in the design and deliver of a range of coordinated supports to Traveller women experiencing social exclusion such as providing soft skill engagement and targeted education and training aimed at progression into employment or self-employment. To support lead worker in empowering of Traveller women to participate more effectively in local, regional, and national decision-making structures. Disseminate information and create awareness to improve knowledge and uptake of the range of services and other supports available. Support the inclusion of Traveller women in mainstream health services. Identify and report emerging issues for Traveller women /Community in Cavan to project coordinator. Work closely with CTM project coordinator /staff and other relevant personnel. Report bi-weekly to the project coordinator on work progress. Identify and participate in relevant training to enhance the worker skills and ability.
