In the R&I Center in Gif-sur-Yvette, the Product team is responsible for:
- Enabling Dairy category business growth through ambitious renovation & innovation plans.
- Designing & implementing superior product experiences (innovation and renovation) with recognizable product signature.
- Ensuring the quality and competitiveness of products developed within Danone Europe.
- Delivering on Nutrition & Sustainability agenda (Danone Impact Journey)
- Driving European innovation and renovation pipeline building together with Topline teams.
- Contributing to building & execution of European fuel for growth plans impacting his/her scope including simplification agenda.
- Partnering with global Category and Advanced Techno and Science teams when defining long term category and brand techno & science roadmaps.
Your main responsibilities will focus on:
- Define and ensure validation of European project briefs in his/her team scope in co-operation with EU and CBU teams.
- With his/her team design superior product experiences according to the brief and assure their robust implementation in plants.
- Validate finished product specifications & product shelf-life based on robust data.
- Assign and support engineers and technicians in projects.
- Efficiently manage resources & budgets to deliver agenda in his/her scope.
- Managing interfaces with other EU functions (Topline, PMO, Ops, C&P, Quality, Food Law, Finance, …) and Global and CBU R&I teams.
- Drive EU technical roadmaps for brands in his/her scope and assure Global R&I team support.
- Actively developing team members through People development review and individual development plans.
- As member of IDDC Yoghurt leadership team drive priority agenda of the team (team upskilling, excellence in execution, etc. ).
- As a member of EU R&I extended leadership team contribute to drive European R&I priorities with his/her team and lead some transversal agenda topics.

The criteria below remain indicative. A candidate who has a different combination of experience and skills could also be considered.
- Experience:
- Minimum 7 years in the FMCG industry and agri-food engineering domain in R&D function.
- Team management experience.
- Experience in a matrix organization and ideally in both local and regional or global teams.
- Skills:
- Product experience design
- Excellent technical expertise in product categories (Dairy, Fermented food or Plant-based).
- Strong knowledge of processing units related to these categories.
- Familiarity with EU food regulations.
- Effective cross-functional team leadership in complex environments.
- Strong managerial skills and motivation to grow people.
- Proactive, open-minded, collaborative, accountable
