Can you challenge when you know something is wrong?We are looking for a dynamic Chartering Manager to join our forward-thinking team within the renewable energy sector and to support the company’s global growth strategy.As Chartering Manager, you will be responsible developing and executing sourcing plans of different vessel charters (mainly covering Crew Transfer Vessels) on a global scale. You will be conducting the vessel contract management from signature to the end of the contract and supporting Marine Assurance topics in the regionSome of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:Lead and drive tendering activities including, sourcing strategies, bid evaluation, negotiation and preparing contract award decisions for O&M wind projects, ensuring technically best value and compliance with the Siemens Gamesa objectives and principlesProactively engage with stakeholders and ensure a close alignment and cooperation with the regional site teamsDeveloping and implementing sourcing strategies for relevant logistical projectsLead the negotiation of specific vessel contracts related to Offshore Service Logistical activities in full alignment with the Business Line Logistics objectivesSupport regional stakeholders with holiday cover and in periods of high asset capacity. i.e. summer campaigns. Regular liaison with Chartering Team, Procurement, Fleet Managers, and wider Offshore Service Logistics team at weekly meetingsMaintain and establish good working relationships with customers and new project stakeholders, and maritime authorities, industry bodies and local stakeholdersRequirement to travel up to 15% incl. overseas travel as required by business needsSupport Offshore Service Logistics (OSL) sales support of new unit and service extension sales projects with CTV market analysis, vessel related costs, project logistic modelling, technical schedule reviews and customer workshopsDriving and ensuring compliant governance for your chartering activitiesWhat you need to make a differencePassion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for,Experience with the marine vessels used in offshore wind farm construction and service phasesExperience in a commercial role, preferably within the offshore wind farm industryStrategic thinking, effective negotiation, communication, and decision-making skillsStrong team player, understanding the big picture, but able to focus on the detail to minimize exposure to commercial and contractual risksBe a self-starter, able to work independently, but engaging with your colleagues in your team and other departments as requiredAbility to work under pressure to tight deadlinesBe able to identify, relate to and influence internal and external stakeholdersHave a customer focused, multicultural, international, and open mindsetAdvanced negotiation skills.
