Job description
Red Chair Recruitment are presently hiring a skilled Chef to work for one of our clients in East/North County Kerry. Youll be responsible for preparing and cooking various dishes to high standards, ensuring food safety, and collaborating with our kitchen and restaurant team. This restaurant is well established and has an excellent reputation with a strong core of repeat business from their clientele and very popular among visiting tourists. The successful applicant will have a dynamic personality with a passion for food who is looking to turn a kitchen into their own.Responsibilities:
- Design and create delicious menus with management.
- Prepare and cook dishes according to your recipes.
- In charge of the purchasing, storage of food and monitor GP.
- Ensuring high culinary standards are met and having a key eye to detail.
- Ensuring hygiene and safety standards are adhered to by following all company health and safety procedures.
- Monitor inventory and minimize waste.
- Assist with training all staff.
Requirements:
- 3+ previous experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety.
- HACCAP Certified.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts.
- Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
Salary is open to negotiation and based on experience and in the region of €30 – €35,000. For further information, please email me directly at
