Our (YLVS) provides trauma-informed and bespoke support for all young victims and witnesses across London.Job DescriptionAs a Children and Young People Caseworker, you’ll play a vital role in supporting young victims of crime. You’ll build trusted relationships and offer practical, tailored interventions, including activities and awareness sessions in schools and community settings. Working closely with other agencies, you’ll ensure robust referral pathways and provide critical support to young people, helping them understand their rights, navigate the criminal justice system, and regain control of their lives.Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage a caseload of young people affected by crime, assessing individual needs and risks.
- Facilitate awareness-raising sessions in community settings on topics like crime prevention and restorative justice.
- Engage young victims in service design and feedback processes to shape impactful support programs.
Qualifications
- Experience working with vulnerable young people and delivering youth engagement.
- Knowledge of safeguarding issues, and ability to work inter-agency.
- Strong communication and empathy skills, with an adaptable, solution-focused approach.
