Working across the city, we collaborate closely with social care teams, our fostering service, and external providers to find the best possible care for Manchester’s children.This is a fast-paced, five-day-a-week service that embraces creative ways of working. As Team Manager, you’ll lead a dedicated group of professionals committed to delivering high-quality support that promotes care plans, champions young people’s voices, and drives positive outcomes. • To respond to emergency requests often requiring work to pressured deadlines.
• To work as part of a wider team across Children’s Social Care to ensure that children’s permanence plans are secured and children have care givers who stick with them.
• To work within Our Manchester behaviours and ensure that all our conversations and interactions with external providers, internal carers and colleagues are child focused.
• To effectively manage the Placements Service in supporting the plans for children and ensuring that they are introduced to their care givers in a manner that is kind, considerate and respectful, making them feel welcomed and valued.
• To lead on specialist searches for children with disabilities / or those young people who have suffered trauma and attachment difficulties, acknowledging their lived experience and the impact of this for them.
• To collect, collate and present referral and monitoring data in order to support the data analysis to senior management team, when required to ensure we are aligned to our Sufficiency Strategy.
• In partnership with Commissioning, responsibility for establishing and managing the partnership between the local authority and independent residential and foster providers specifically based within the Manchester and Greater Manager Region.

It’s ok not to have all the answers but be willing to work together to find the solution.We anticipate that you’ve had experience in organisational management, complaint handling and managing change.
