OverviewGallagher Specialty are looking for a Claims Broker Technician for their Energy division. You will be working on a caseload of worldwide energy and power claims, from first notification through to settlement. You will be part of a growing team committed to delivering the best service to their clients.
How you’ll make an impact

  • Handle claims from first advice to settlement.
  • Negotiating complex claims with clients, Lloyd’s and Company markets.
  • Assisting and supporting Broking Teams in retaining and winning new clients.
  • Understanding technical issues regarding the claims presentation and using negotiating the best outcomes for clients
  • Presenting facts in the best light to facilitate the settlement of both material damage and business interruption claims to the benefit and satisfaction of clients
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of relevant markets and changes across the industry in order to keep clients/agents informed and provide effective risk management advice in line with AJG principles and values
  • Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance and Gallagher’s shared values, in particular, putting clients at the heart of our business

About YouQualifications

  • Cert CII/ Dip CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) desirable
  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent

Technical Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the Energy & Power industry and Insurance market
  • Detailed knowledge of market claim procedures

Experience

  • Technical claims handling of all classes of Energy business
