Invest in us and we’ll invest in you!Job DescriptionThe Cloud Security Consultant will be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of Azure-based systems and infrastructure. They will implement and manage security controls, monitor for threats and vulnerabilities, and respond to security incidents in Azure cloud environments. The Cloud Security Consultant will work closely with cross-functional teams such as the Enterprise architecture and IT Operations teams to establish and maintain a robust Azure cloud security posture.Key responsibilities and deliverables applicable to this role:
- Implement and manage security controls and measures to protect Azure-based systems and data.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to Azure cloud security.
- Collaborate with Azure cloud architects and administrators to design and implement secure Azure architecture.
- Develop and enforce Azure cloud security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Conduct security audits and assessments of Azure service providers and third-party vendors.
- Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) controls in Azure environments.
- Manage encryption and key management for data protection in Azure.
- Assist with regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning of Azure infrastructure and applications.
- Respond to security incidents, conduct investigations, and implement remediation measures.
- Stay updated with emerging Azure cloud security threats, technologies, and industry trends.
- Provide guidance and training to cross-functional teams on Azure cloud security best practices.
QualificationsThe following experience, competencies and skillsets are applicable to this role:
- In-depth knowledge of Azure cloud platform, including security controls, services, and best practices.
- Familiarity with Azure security services and tools, such as Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, or Azure Advanced Threat Protection.
- Experience with security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management in Azure environments.
- Understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards relevant to Azure cloud security, such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Benchmarks.
- Knowledge of network and application security principles, including firewall configurations, access controls, and secure coding practices in Azure.
- Proficiency in security incident response and management in Azure cloud environments.
- Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) concepts and tools in Azure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate security risks in Azure environments.
