Full time – 35 hours per week, with potential flexibility to 28 hours per weekSt Antony’s College is recruiting for a College Secretary. This is a new and pivotal role, providing high level professional support to the governance of the College, as well as leading on regulatory compliance and supporting equality, diversity and inclusion activities.The College Secretary is responsible for organising and supporting key College committees and managing all processes relating to Governing Body Fellows, working with the Bursar. Acting as the in-house expert on Freedom of Information requests, you will play a key role in regulatory compliance activities at the College, as well as leading a range of projects on behalf of the Warden and Bursar.To be successful in your application, you will have relevant professional administration and committee servicing experience with excellent organisation skills and an ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders. Strong time management and prioritisation skills and a flexible, proactive, positive and collaborative approach to your work, together with the ability to work calmly under pressure and to display good judgement and tact when working with sensitive information will be essential.You will need a good awareness and understanding of the requirements of a range of legislation affecting UK public bodies and have experience of interpreting information and presenting findings clearly. Experience of working in an educational environment and of charity governance or other relevant regulatory compliance would be advantageous.St Antony’s College is one of the seven graduate colleges of the University of Oxford.
