Commercial Financial Analyst (PQ)£30,000 to £40,000West LondonExcellent benefits – including free Oyster card (zones 1-6)Hybrid working – 3 days per week office based.Full time, permanent roleCedar have partnered with a growing transport business based in West London who are looking for an analytical and detail oriented PQ Commercial Finance Analyst with advanced Excel.The successful Commercial Finance Analyst will drive pivotal analysis supporting pricing strategies and overall business direction. You’ll maintain dynamic forecasting models, ensuring seamless flow of data for high-quality financial insights. This role involves challenging norms, driving process enhancements, and effectively communicating key insights to non-finance teams.Responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining financial models and analysis for commercial business areas.
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders to review inputs for new business tenders, ensuring accurate pricing.
- Assisting the financial control team in maintaining accurate books of accounts, including accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Supervising updates to multi-year forecasting analysis.
- Leading business partnering activities and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Contributing to the development and documentation of business processes.
- Supporting day-to-day operations of the Commercial Finance Team.
Person specification
- Advanced MS Excel skills – ability to handle large spreadsheets with automated features. Comfortable with complex excel functions (INDEX MATCH, SUMIFS, IF formulas and Conditional Formatting).
- Financial modelling and forecasting
- Graduate or equivalent
- Stakeholder management
- Excellent communication skills
