An exciting opportunity has become available at Stoke City’s award-winning Charity Community Trust. We are looking to recruit apprentices to support the life changing work that we do within our local communities.
Successful candidates will be enthusiastic, dynamic individuals who are committed to making a difference to our local residents. This includes working with schools, youth organisations and many of our local partner organisations and surrounding communities.
Typical projects you could be involved with include:

  • Physical education lessons and classroom delivery through the Premier League Primary Stars programme.
  • Outreach and Youth Engagement projects including Premier League Kicks.
  • Extra-curricular Sports Programmes.
  • Football development programmes.
  • Disability and Inclusion programmes.
  • Health and Wellbeing programmes.
  • Education and Lifelong learning.
  • Matchday activities.
  • Sports related administration.

The Trust is devoted to the community it serves. Within the catchment areas of Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire Moorlands, Stafford, South Staffordshire and parts of North-West Shropshire, we contact and attempt to benefit the lives of approximately 150,000 children and young people each year.

  • Interested in coaching/teaching sport, exercise or youth/social work.
  • Enthusiastic.
  • Pro-active.
  • Able to communicate effectively.
  • Well organised.

Although not essential, the following would be advantageous:

  • BTEC/GCSE PE/Health and Social Care.
  • Level 3 GCSE or Level 1 Functional Skills maths and english.
  • Volunteering experience.
  • Duke of Edinburgh award.
  • Sports Leader.

Successful applicants will be expected to complete regular written work and contribute to discussions to successfully complete the End Point Assessment of the Community Activator Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard.The role includes regularly working evenings and weekends.There will be an assessment day on Monday 1st July for all shortlisted candidates following our consideration of your application.
