About the Role:

We are seeking a Community Liaison Officer working within the Cannie Wind Farm Project. This role will support the development team to build strong relationships with the local communities nearby the project. This role is part time and on contract until end of Feb and will be 15hrs a week, with the possibility to extend.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Staffing and Maintaining information in the Project Office, such as the stakeholder database.
  • Communicating directly with stakeholders and communities, answering any queries they may have.
  • Relaying community feedback and questions to the Development Project Manager and Community Engagement Advisor.
  • Working to identify community sponsorship opportunities.
  • General administration support for other RES development projects in Victoria when required.
  • Be an exemplary role model to encourage the avoidance of risk-taking behaviours across the business and provide the personal commitment never to “risk it”.

Skills & Experience (5 points)

  • Demonstrated experience in communications and/or stakeholder engagement and building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a self-starter to effectively manage and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal, listening, networking, and influencing skills that enable building and maintaining productive relationships.
  • Knowledge of the communities and stakeholder groups near the proposed Project.
  • Formal education Diploma in communications, journalism, business, public relations or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
