Construction Project Delivery Manager Role:Custom Solar/Mitie, sell, design, build, and operate energy solutions for industrial, commercial, and public sector customers. We combine different technologies to maximise the customers’ benefits. Technologies offered encompass Rooftop, Car Park Canopies and Ground Mount solar PV systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems, and others dependent on customer requirements.Join our dynamic Construction team as a Project Delivery Manager, where you’ll spearhead the build phase of exciting projects, ensuring impeccable execution within specified timelines, budgets, and to the highest safety and quality standards. Embark on a rewarding role where your leadership will be pivotal in delivering outstanding results and shaping the future of construction excellence.Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

  • Contribution to pre-contract activities
  • Sense-check designer’s output / specifications.
  • Input in selection and vetting of suppliers / supply strategy.
  • Liaise with suppliers (with procurement).
  • Sense-check/approve CAPEX breakdown.
  • Provide input to project programme/milestones for client and supplier contracts.
  • Monitor and report on project performance (time, cost, quality, and safety).
  • Liaise with external and internal stakeholders to ensure problem resolution.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by addressing safety issues effectively, leading by example, and encouraging a safety 1st attitude in all team members.
  • Ensure all legal requirements including CDM requirements are met during the build-phase of the project.
  • Establish good relationship with customer representative(s) on site to understand, manage and predict their requirements, as well as solve upcoming issues in agreement with them and keep them informed.
  • Resolve all upcoming safety and quality issues, liaise with HSQE department as required.
  • Manage budget including variations and change requests for both customer and contractors, liaise with procurement, legal and commercial teams as required.
  • Identify and manage risks (regarding safety, budget, time, and quality) and escalate to management as required.
  • Establish and maintain a real-time programme in agreement with the customer team and against achievable delivery timelines.
  • Maintain all contractual obligations for issue notification and escalation.
  • Ensure all requirements for later operational phase of the project are met and liaise with O&M team to ensure they are informed and can give required input.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years Previous experience as a Construction Project Manager
  • Thorough understanding, detailed experience, and formal training in C(DM) responsibilities.
  • Construction Project management skills and related experience with proven track record on variety of energy, civils and/or M&E projects.
  • Substantial knowledge of current legislation with regards to HSSE, construction and services installation.
  • Thorough understanding, detailed experience, in C(DM) responsibilities.
  • Excellent skills in project programming.
  • Willingness to travel. Travel is a big part of the role.
  • Appropriate engineering qualification e. g. Degree/HNC or appropriate experience range on successful projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Project and other MS Office tools.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial impact of activities
  • CSCS / NVQ Level 7
