Employing over 600 people in the UK and overseas, with a turnover in excess of £77 million, this is a company that recognises the expertise people bring by offering them responsibility and ownership in their field of speciality.Working as the Contracts Manager, you will oversee the planning, management and financial control across marine electrical projects. You will have responsibility for ensuring all stakeholders are involved and communicated with, evaluating progress, implementing changes, and submitting reports as per the project specific requirements.In the role of Contracts Manager you will:
- Manage the commercials, P&L and budgets on all assigned projects
- Develop and deliver project budgets in line with forecasts
- Working with contracts to define project scope and objectives, ensure technical feasibility and resource allocation, implement appropriate project controls
- Manage operational delivery and delivery teams including supervisors, electricians
- Ensure compliance to company policies, procedures and safety protocols
- Driving customer satisfaction and project delivery to achieve business unit objectives
- Developing new business opportunities, generating quotes and tenders
- Coach and develop teams in delivery, quality and health and safety aspects
We are looking for an experienced Contract Manager who has:
- At least 5 years’ experience delivering industrial electrical projects
- Experience of project delivery in a marine environment
- Successful project and commercial management – to include managing contract terms and conditions, budgets and cost control
- Excellent negotiation experience
- HNC in Electrical Engineering as a minimum
- Project Management qualification (APM / PMQ/ PRINCE 2 etc)
