Corporate Field Representative

The Corporate Field Representative shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Daily animal care, feeding, milking, operating milking equipment.
• Support and reinforce the policies of Prairie Farms
• Understand how to work in a subordinate position
• Travel to multiple destinations daily and navigate in a rural setting
• Travel on short notice to any Prairie Farms member or Prairie Farms independent member farm
• Create within Microsoft Office and apply visual basic programming within these applications
• Communicate with courtesy and tact
• Understanding the results of raw milk testing and communicating these results to member producers
• Follow up with producers and recommend corrective action on issues that affect milk quality
• Sample producer milk to run necessary tests to resolve milk quality issues
• Maintain relationship with state regulatory agency responsible for farms in field rep’s territory
• Work with regulatory agencies to help maintain Grade A status of farms
• Calibrate producer bulk milk tanks as needed and keep accurate records of those calibration
• Communicate details of farm and quality conditions to supervisor to fairly resolve issues
• Work with milk haulers to maintain relationships between member and hauler and help resolve issues related to milk pick-up
• Attend company member meetings and assist as needed
• Complete paperwork necessary to maintain current producer payroll status of member
• Complete animal care evaluation in responsible territory and maintain current records for animal care program
• Learn and understand industry issues that affect producer-members
• Obtain DOT certification for 20,000lbs. combination vehicle (if needed)

Required Technical Skills:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work remotely
• Strong customer service abilities
• Able to communicate in various ways
• Strong interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements:

He or she will also be required to work outside in various weather conditions. Lift and control at least 50 pounds to an overhead position continuously.

Educations, Certifications and Experience:

The following is required:

• Post-secondary education in a field related to the responsibilities previously described.

Other:

The Corporate Field Representative position will require overnight travel at times. Must have the ability to work remotely.
