Your challenge

Radio-Canada Rimouski is looking for cross-platform reporters (digital/radio/TV). You must have the integrity and self-confidence to bring our programming to life.

To this end, you will conduct research and interviews, write copy, edit audio and video, and produce thorough, fact-checked, dynamic and compelling news content.

Your work must also adhere to CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices.

Please note that these are on call positions (temporary needs of less than 13 weeks, part-time) and you will be required to work atypical hours: day, evening, night and weekends.

What you bring:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Three (3) years’ journalism experience or equivalent

Skills:

• Broad general knowledge
• In-depth knowledge of current events in the Lower St. Lawrence region
• Solid command of French (working language) and knowledge of English is an asset
• Strong understanding of audio, visual and digital storytelling techniques and interviewing techniques
• Knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices
• Valid driver’s licence

• Ability to work well in a team or independently, be resourceful and take initiative
• Creative, enterprising and inquisitive approach to fact-gathering
• Good knowledge of how to produce digital stories and manage social media
• Ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines
