To ensure that Finecast is well placed to take advantage of opportunities, it needs a best-in-class, innovative product suite.The Data Analyst is an exciting new role within the Capabilities team, creating models and insights to shape Finecast’s products and optimise performance and processes.This is a great opportunity to practically apply statistical techniques to efficiently answer real-world business problems.In the role, you will dive into data, build reports and communicate opportunities to our stakeholders -(technical, commercial and financial)Insights can create outcomes, and we aim to provide intelligence to help drive collaborative discussion and prioritisation across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesThese will include, but not limited to:Audience modelling

  • Translating business requirements in to technical and analytics requirements.
  • Working with our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to build audiences using third and first party data sources
  • Connect with other data sources to be able to evaluate the impact of accuracy vs reach on audience creation.
  • Provide and present analysis to SMEs – providing your insights on best course of action for a project.
  • Providing insights and additional data points of interest within current data
  • Perform quality assurance of audience modelling and project data to ensure accuracy
  • Work with the data engineering and marketing science team to identify and resolve any technical issues.
  • Adhering to all legal guidance when storing, transferring and manipulating data.

Yield Modelling

  • Developing robust models to support the forecasting of revenue and demand
  • Build supply forecasts in collaboration with GroupM’s investment teams
  • Deliver business insight projects to better monetise supply and increase fulfilment
  • Produce regular insights across products and communicate insights to technical, commercial, and financial stakeholders.
  • Use data modelling and machine learning practices to analyse large datasets to create strategic insights
  • Support our Product and Business Development team with forecasting tasks.

General

  • Conduct research and development, with the aim of creating custom analytics solution and tackling technical issues.
  • Gather requirements, define project scope and deliver insights from defined and open-ended areas of investigations.
  • Maintain clear and coherent communication, both verbal and written, to understand data needs and report results
  • Manage project processing to ensure timely and accurate delivery, maintaining communication on project status across internal stakeholders, senior team members, and external vendors

About you:

  • Confident understanding of analytical methodologies, with hands-on experience with modelling and algorithms
  • Confidence in performing data and statistical analysis using SQL, Python, BigQuery, R, Snowflake and/or others with minimal supervision
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong statistical knowledge, as well as interest in applying them to complex problems
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform advantageous
  • Experience working and manipulating large data sets and ability to work with structured and unstructured data
  • Capability of tailoring communication to the audience – be they technical or nontechnical
  • Experience working on or with Consumer Data Platforms or Data Management Platforms advantageous
  • Understanding of audiences and audience modelling in the wider media or TV advertising ecosystem advantageous
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities
  • Able to effectively manage stakeholder expectations, proactively and reactively
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects within project timeframes
  • Nice to have experience with Data Visualisation software, like Looker, or Tableau
  • Knowledge of the media advertising ecosystem, with TV advertising advantageous, especially with basic understanding on ad inventory and monetisation
