My client is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join their incredible organisation, with the headquarters based in Cork. This is permanent role with a hybrid working model.This role would suit someone with at least 5 years or more of commercial experience working as a Data Engineer.The skills required are:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with multiple cloud platforms, tools, methodologies in the data management, reporting and advanced analytics space including Snowflake, AWS, Python, SQL and PowerBI.
Experience designing/developing data management solutions.
Strong knowledge of Data modelling/Data Warehousing concepts.
Experience with building Machine Learning pipelines and Operations on a cloud platform such as AWS or Azure.
Experience with ETL scheduling tools like Apache Airflow.
Proven capability to develop robust reporting infrastructure to optimize the extraction, transformation, and reporting of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, Master Data Management, Teradata/EDW, Alteryx, Trifecta, SAS, Tableau, Azure Data Factory etc.
Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets.
Familiarity of DevOps and MLOPs principles in addition to version control with Git
Additional skills include motivation, enthusiasm, comfortable working in a close team environment, and the ability to set and follow clear objectives.
Must be a self-starter who takes ownership of tasks within their remit.
Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong attention to detail.
