Our advertising sales agency, Virgin Media Solutions, creates unique, innovative campaigns for our business and for third party clients across the UK and Ireland.Virgin Media is part of Liberty Global, one of the world’s leading converged video, broadband and communications companies, with operations in six European countries.For further information please visit:About the Role:The purpose of this role is to develop and deliver business changing capabilitieswhich our Retail teams (Acquisition and CVM) will leverage to achieve better business performance and efficiencies.the assets being developed will enable Strategy to determine priorities for our FIbre rollout and Commercial opportunities across VMIE.Support senior executives of Virgin Media in making the right strategic and financial decisionsWork within a small but high performing data management team, collaborating with other team members and partners to deliver a wide range of reporting functionality across the whole businessEvaluate requirements \ definitions supplied by business analysts and translate these into reporting data sets to support business intelligence developersDesign and implement new capabilities with the Enterprise Data Platform (Snowflake) and ensure these are successfully leveraged across multiple business and customer systems.Support the Data Management Manager in managing outsource partners and internal stakeholder prioritiesSpecific Duties & Tasks:Design and delivery of data driven automated assets from multiple sources that enable greatly improved business performanceData sourcing and integration through informatica and Snoflake cloud data platform SQL.Data model creation and maintenance in enterprise data warehouse (snowflake).Promotion of data sets to production systemsCreation of data models to support continuous optimisation of business performance, through performance reporting over time.Develop a commercial understanding of the business that is sufficient to evaluate the integrity of data sets and business logicEnable analytics self service by users of varying skill levels through creation of enabling data models, tooling and coaching.Delivery and support of well-designed metrics and reporting solutions that are accurate, timely, innovative and support key strategic decision makingDesign and deploy agreed metrics and KPI’s to the wider businessEnsure data governance structures are followedDevelopment using SQL across multiple database types (Snowflake, MySQL)Determine requirements and Validation of new warehousing objectsWorking with the data management team and partners to deliver new models in to the enterprise data warehouseDeliver attributes in reporting models through understanding of business requirements and mapping back to technology stacks with assistance of business intelligence developers.Delivery of enterprise data integration flows (ETL / ELT) through informaticaThe Person:3rd level qualification in computing or similar analytical business areaHands- on experience with SQL and other relevant data access technologiesExposure to snowflake and Oracle database architectureCapability to communicate complex technical solutions in a manner that can be understood by non technical functionsAbility to understand data structures and map back to source systems.Experience interacting with release process flows (Data acquisition, UAT build , validation ,sign off ) and vendor engagementExperience in creation of data structures to support business KPI reporting .Ability to work in a fast paced, complex environment.
