Join a team of next generation thinkers.All major product actions within JLR, including the delivery of our exciting new suite of vehicles, are facilitated by programme managers working within a department known internally as ‘V’. At the core of this function is a programme management office (V-PMO), which is responsible for the business processes and reporting tools used within V; this includes the collation of measures and scorecards or dashboards to monitor performance to ensure the on-time, to target delivery of our new products.WHAT TO EXPECTand

• Initiating and establishing data governance within the JLR Vehicle Programmes function
• assigning ownership of data in the VPMO and interfacing functions
• incorporating data governance into the routine business as usual (“BAU”) within JLR
• advocating better data literacy within the corporation encouraging the use and management of data within the business

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Previous experience of Data Management, particularly Data Governance
• Working knowledge of Metadata Management, Data Quality Management and Data Lineage
• A demonstrable level of ability to understand data structures, analyse data flows across systems and processes, and identify key owners and actors
• A high level of data literacy and desire to continue to learn new data tools and skills
• Experience of translating business requirements and needs into prioritised data requirements
• Experience delivering operational processes and standards to embed data management practices
• Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Excel and PowerPoint
• Demonstrable skills of process management (Visio, Lucid)
