Data Loss Prevention EngineerJob Type: Permanent
Location: Letterkenny, Donegal (Onsite or Hybrid)The Role
As a Data Loss Prevention Engineer, you will work with the Data Loss Prevention team responsible for the management and support of DLP environment. This involves developing and maintaining network and endpoint security policies to identify the unauthorised use of high-risk data. You will also use your expertise to troubleshoot problems, provide guidance, investigate security alerts, perform configuration changes, and ensure the ongoing management of the environment.Key responsibilities:
- Utilise your technical knowledge to support, enhance and implement Data Loss Prevention solutions.
- Develop, test, and maintain security policies which are leveraged to identify and protect sensitive information traversing the enterprise network.
- Respond to queries from business partners regarding DLP processes general information security concepts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Use project management applications such as Jira to ensure projects meet the SLA outlined.
- Manage the tuning of infrastructure & application.
- Manage the configuration, implementation, migration, upgrades and patching of infrastructure and applications.
Your Profile
Key skills/knowledge/experience:
- Advance Working Knowledge of Data Loss Prevention technologies like Symantec.
- Experience working with Windows / Linux operating systems in an enterprise environment.
- Experience working in Network Engineering/ Level 2 technical support.
- Experience with networking concepts and an understanding of commonly used ports & protocols.
- Self-starter attitude and ability to perform under minimum guidance.
Good to have:
- Experience with scripting languages including Perl, Python or PowerShell
