An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Data Manager within the Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Programme at the Royal Marsden Hospital.As part of the Data Management team, the post holder will provide a high quality data management and analysis service for patients undergoing a stem cell transplant and other cellular therapies. Applications are invited from experienced, enthusiastic, highly motivated and organised individuals that can ensure efficient and accurate collection and transcription of complex clinical data.Applicants must have proven data management experience, and experience of working in a clinical setting.   • Be part of and to provide leadership for the data management team for Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) and Cellular Therapies. The data management team for HSCT/Cell Therapy is responsible for efficient and accurate collection, transcription and analysis of complex clinical and research data for patients receiving transplantation of any kind of haematopoietic stem cells (to include paediatric, adolescent and young people and adult patients) and undergoing cellular therapies, e.g CAR-T cell therapy.
  • Responsible for recording and submitting transplant data to the European Bone Marrow Transplant (EBMT) registry via the EBMT Registry Database, in keeping with the requirements of the performance standards agreed with the Trust’s commissioners. The post holder will be responsible for maintaining the EBMT database and for monitoring BMT activity across a range of internal Trust reports to ensure correct and prompt financial reporting and income generation.

  • Working knowledge of hospital information systems

  • Experience of working in field of haematopoietic stem cell transplant/cell therapy
  • Experience of staff management
  • Working knowledge of statistical software e.g. SPSS or STATA or R
  • Development of procedures and preparation of SOPs

Skills Abilities/knowledgeEssential
