This role analyzes historical data, identifies trends, and applies quantitative and qualitative techniques to generate reliable volume projections across various product lines and business segments. The Volume Forecast Specialist works closely with the data science team in order to ensure forecasts align with the company’s goals and objectives.Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze relevant data from various sources, including sales, marketing, and operations, to identify patterns, drivers, and key influencing factors impacting demand.
  • Develop and maintain statistical forecasting models, leveraging techniques such as time-series analysis, regression analysis, and machine learning algorithms.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs, incorporate qualitative inputs, and refine forecasting assumptions.
  • Regularly review and update forecasts to adapt to changing market conditions, new product launches, and other relevant factors.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and uncertainties in the forecasting process, providing contingency plans and scenario analyses.
  • Communicate forecast insights, recommendations, and performance analyses to management and cross-functional teams.
  • Champion the use of data-driven decision-making throughout the organization, educating and training teams on best practices in demand forecasting.
  • Continuously optimize forecasting methodologies and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, such as statistics, operations research, or economics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in demand forecasting, supply chain planning, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong proficiency in statistical analysis, data modeling, and forecasting techniques, with hands-on experience using related software tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations effectively.
  • Familiarity with customer support operations, inventory management, and business planning processes.
  • Adaptability and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Hybrid work at StripeOffice-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.Pay and benefitsThe annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €80,200 – €120,200. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.Specific benefits and details about what compensation is included in the salary range listed above will vary depending on the applicant’s location and can be discussed in more detail during the interview process.
