You’ll provide the talent, ambition, and drive.As the Data Steward, you will be responsible for investigating, understanding, describing, and documenting requirements. In addition, refine and clarify information needs, define information delivery methods, and determine analytic application functions. Responsibilities include the evaluation of system output, interpretation of business needs, providing support and assistance to end users, identifying enhancements or improvements, providing impact analysis, and coordinating with others. Utilize knowledge base to evaluate large data sets to help expand capabilities and tools utilized by the end users.Working Schedule:Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Letterkenny and Dublin and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute reviews across key business systems within Data Mining.
- Analyze, review, forecast and trend complex data
- Develop/update requirements for enhancements to tools
- Support short- and long-term operational/strategic business activities through analysis
- Develop, recommend and implement business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes
- Participate in the preparation of reports for business owners and senior management
- Provide effective challenge to existing methodologies, policies and procedures
- Participate in the management of change follow up on changes that are created.
- Assist in documentation and updates of policies and procedures
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of SOP’s and process flows.

- Experience with Data Governance concepts and approachesExperience with Data Governance concepts and approaches
- Undergrade degree in a data related field
- Prior experience as a Data Steward lead or similar role
- Proven track record of leading Data Quality initiatives including audit processes
- Knowledge of Agile concepts
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to analyse data to assist in requirement definition
- Understand of relational database concepts
- SQL intermediate level (Querying)
- Proficiency with Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills with ability to balance multiple priorities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating good level of maturity
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Data Visualization tools such as Power BI & Tableau
- Experience with Rally software for agile development
- Working knowledge of the US Healthcare Industry
- Proficient knowledge of SDLC & Agile Scrum frameworks
- Post-graduate degree in relevant field
- Experience in configuring and leading new business workstream
- Risk and Quality/Clinical Solutions Knowledge
