Our team is committed to transparency and regularly updates stakeholders on our progress and initiativesAbout the roleThe DBS Community & Engagement Lead will work with the DBS Optimisation Director and the wider DBS Management Team to build plans and own ongoing community and engagement initiatives, such as EOS analysis and action plans and the DBS Trusted Partner Survey. They will also support the TechX optimisation activities in DBS through creating and owning new communications and engagement approaches aiding the rollout of tools to help teams in their optimisation efforts. The role will focus on working with colleagues within DBS as well as equivalent SMEs across Technology, building relationships and leveraging best practice to support the Elsevier goal of building an agile and sustainable culture that is essential for a highly performing technology organisation. This role will also provide support to the DBS MT to enable effective leadership across the department.ResponsibilitiesOwn the planning and support implementation of DBS EOS action plans, including proposing and supporting innovation events to help further develop DBS skills and build communityDevelop and maintain strategy for communication within DBS, ensuring best practice is shared amongst employees and alignment maintained with the overall Technology communication strategyRepresent DBS at internal communications and community forums, maintaining stakeholder expectations and raise appropriate issues to management as necessaryConfidently develop “trusted advisor” relationship with stakeholders through effective communication and efficient, quality execution on initiativesPerform moderately complex data analysis on extensive and confidential data sets, including EOS, OfficeVibe and Trusted Partner Survey resultsSupporting the DBS Optimisation Director, in their capacity as TechX representative, with roll out and embedding of new tools to DBS colleagues aimed at supporting optimisation, efficiency and productivity. This will include leading on comms plans, training rollout plans (including proposing appropriate training activities and owning scheduling and coordination for speakers and experts) and other responsibilities as appropriate.RequirementsHave an Understanding of recognized development methodologies e.g., Agile, SCRUM, KANBAN – experience in one or more beneficialHave an excellent understanding of community and engagement practices and the value they bring to a global organisationHave the ability to build and leverage network across DBS and wider the Technology organisation, to support delivery of DBS and TechX goalsBe experienced in using project management skills, including planning, tracking agreed deliverables against timelines and managing multiple stakeholdersHave a proactive approach to, and genuine interest for, problem-solvingStrong verbal and written communication skills that allow for effective communication across all levels of the organization, including experience of facilitating workshops/ large meetingsIf you are interested in the role, please apply with a cover letter and CV.Work in a way that works for youWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
