The OpportunityAn opportunity has arisen to join a highly successful Development & Compulsory Purchase team in Manchester where you will gain fantastic exposure to varied and exciting projects. We are looking for an ambitious Senior Surveyor or Associate Director in this varied role which will include advising developers and local authorities on redevelopment schemes, undertaking acquisition and disposals, preparing budgetary advice, and providing strategic valuations.You will work directly alongside senior directors in one of the Northwest’s largest Development teams who are at the forefront of this field. The role offers the capacity for significant career progression and promotion, with an opportunity to help shape the future of both the team and the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesProviding strategic advice to a wide range of clients, including developers, local authorities and private landowners including undertaking feasibility work Preparing budget cost estimates Negotiating land and property acquisitions/disposals as part of wider development schemes Providing compulsory purchase advice and negotiating compensation claims (previous CPO experience is not a pre-requisite) Providing strategic valuation advice in respect to issues such as Option Agreements, ransom strips etc. Co-ordinating advice from other teams within the business as well as external consultants as part of the wider client team Preparing/assisting with Expert Witness reports for litigation, Tribunal or Public InquiriesKey Attributes & QualificationsRICS qualified, being an RICS Registered Valuer would be an advantage Minimum 2 years MRICS PQE within CPO, Agency, Development or Valuation sectors Adaptable, eager to learn and self-motivated Passionate about your career, ambitious and driven to develop professionally Contribute to the wider team but with the scope to take a degree of personal responsibility Good negotiator and ability to communicate effectively Good report writing and presentation skills Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Good organisational skills, manage and prioritise caseload Business development and networkingRemunerationCompetitive salary £40,000 to £55,000+ (dependent upon experience) Car Allowance Company Benefits Generous holiday allowance Performance related bonus Excellent potential for career progression Good pension provisionThis is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious and motivated individual to join and lead within this specialist and successful team.
